Jonathan and Maddie had a gorgeous fall Memphis Botanical Gardens wedding. The ceremony took place under the Blecken Pavilion, and the portraits took place around the Japanese Garden among other popular spots. It was so fun to find places around the Memphis Botanical Gardens for the couples’ portraits and bridal party. It’s not hard to find beautiful places at this venue!

The wedding was filled with sweet details and so many special moments. Perhaps one of the most special moments was the bride’s first look with her father. Because the bride’s mother had recently passed away, it was especially emotional and it was an honor to witness. The beautiful white and green florals paired well with the early fall colors that peeped through the Tennessee greenery. Maddie incorporated subtle florals in her hair, which created a beautiful contrast with her red hair. Another one of my favorite floral elements from the wedding was the hanging rose chandelier that was draped over the dance floor at the reception. Jonathan and Maddie didn’t leave any detail unnoticed, and it created a magical and beautiful wedding day! The bride couldn’t hold back her tears during her maid of honor’s speech, which left many of the guests also in tears. Jonathan and Maddie’s friends and family were the life of the party and kept the dance floor full all night long.

It was such an honor to photograph Maddie and Jonathan’s Memphis Botanical Gardens wedding where I was an associate photographer for Jackie McGinnis Photography.
