Haley and Ryan celebrated the start of their marriage at a stunning Chicago autograph hotel – The Blackstone on Michigan Avenue. I loved this special day! Haley and Ryan both have such sweet families and they made me feel right at home around them. The entire day was planned by Stephanie with the Creative Planners who is just as sweet and talented as you would imagine. The bridesmaids wore pale blue dresses by Bella Bridesmaids while the men wore navy tuxes with monogrammed cuff links. The floral (by Anthony Gowder Designs) included white, pink and green flowers which perfectly complimented the Blackstone Hotel’s ballroom featuring navy and gold. The invitations were designed by Letterpress by Lydia and included beautiful gold lettering, Hebrew script, and a custom monogrammed seal. It was SO beautiful! Haley and Ryan are huge Harry Potter fans, so I couldn’t help but include the “golden snitch” in their wedding detail images! Ryan proposed to Haley with it (the rings were inside). After the bride and groom had their first look at Grant Park, we ventured next to the lake to take photos of the beautiful Chicago skyline view. The Adler Planetarium is a very classic Chicago photo spot and a personal favorite! As I walked into the Blackstone Hotel’s ballroom where the ceremony and reception were to be held, I was blown away. The chuppah stood tall on a stage on the left side of the ballroom. It was hand made by the mother of the bride. Isn’t it stunning?! The freshly signed Ketubah was displayed underneath and the musicians began to play as guests entered the room. Ryan and Haley had a sweet Jewish ceremony and then joined their guests for the cocktail hour 2 floors above the ballroom. Meantime, the venue “flipped” the room to get ready for the reception…which, by the way, was even more stunning! I’m obsessed with the Blackstone Hotel and it’s balcony access too. It’s especially perfect for Jewish weddings where there are lots of awesome dancing like the hora. Thank you guys for allowing me to be the one to capture your beautiful wedding day!
