Walking into this session, I couldn’t help but think about how much has changed since I first photographed this family — and how much love has grown along the way. Family growth is one of my favorite stories to tell. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of getting to know and love this sweet family — beginning with Chelsea’s maternity session, then documenting big sister Aries through her entire first year. From her newborn portraits to her six‑month milestone and her one‑year celebration, I’ve watched this family grow, evolve, and step into new seasons with so much love.

Welcoming baby Arwen felt like the most natural next chapter. She arrived with the calmest little presence and photographing her felt tender and familiar. There’s something incredibly special about capturing a new baby when you’ve already photographed their sibling at the same stage not long ago. Seeing Aries step into her role as big sister — curious, gentle, and so proud — made the session even sweeter. Those images of the two girls together hold a depth that only comes from knowing their story, their parents, and the journey that brought them here.

The session was soft and simple, focused on connection and the quiet beauty of newborn days. Arwen curled into her swaddles, stretched her tiny fingers, and settled easily into the warmth of her family’s arms. The way both parents looked at their girls — full of gratitude, joy, and excitement — made every frame feel meaningful.

I am deeply honored each time a family chooses me to walk through life with them. Documenting their milestones, their growth, and the moments that shape their story is one of the greatest joys of my work.
