Who says couples’ portraits are just for engagements and weddings? This anniversary photo session at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis, Tennessee was extra special. It was with my younger brother and my sister-in-law. It was so wonderful to take these anniversary photos for Lance and Lauren, and having Lance’s old Chevrolet truck there in the backdrop was even more amazing!
We were so lucky that the weather at Shelby Farms couldn’t have been more beautiful this day. Lauren’s flowy, pink dress was the perfect color to complement the lush, green trees and the grass in the field. We started by parking Lance’s Chevy truck on a path surrounded by trees overhead. From there, we moved to a nearby field for additional photos surrounded by tall grass and lots of open space.
I love when couples are able to incorporate their passions and joys into our photo sessions. For Lance, it was his beloved Chevy truck, but for others, it may be a family dog, a special accessory, or a memorable location. Those things always add a special touch and provide sentimental value. Looking back at those photos for years to come will always spark joy and conversation, and I’m so thankful that couples and families share their passions and joys with me.
Seeing the way Lance and Lauren look at each other after 5 years of marriage is truly delightful. Their radiating smiles are not only beautiful to photograph, but they’re also infectious. We found ourselves giggling and joking with each other throughout the entire session. I know I’m your sister and all, but thank you for allowing me to be a part of this moment for you guys and capturing such a special milestone in your lives. 🙂 I love y’all!
