After meeting Emily and Steve for the first time and then photographing their engagement session in the Fulton Market area last year, I could not wait for Emily and Steve’s big day to arrive. Now I’m even more excited to show you all the beauty and love from their amazing wedding day. The ladies started the day getting ready at the stunning Raddison Blu Aqua hotel while the men got ready at a private residence at The Trump. I knew Emily was a woman after my own heart when she presented me with the most beautiful white and blush details to photograph. I am simply obsessed with the letterpress invitation suite designed by Bluebird Paper Company and the delicate lace detailing on Emily’s wedding dress. They exchanged vows and officially became Mr and Mrs at one of my favorite churches in Chicago: St Mary of the Angels. We then took portraits at a few locations around the city – Fulton Market (where they had their first date), The Chicago Board of Trade, and the Chicago Theater. The bridesmaids wore the most elegant blush dresses and carried beautiful bouquets of white and green florals designed by Life in Bloom while the men wore classic black tuxes and bow ties. The Mid America Club hosted their incredible reception on its 80th floor complete with stunning city views (hello sunset!!), a flower wall to die for, and a dance floor lit up by The Party Faithful! It was such a fun and amazing day. Congrats Mr and Mrs Petrak!
