Long Hunter State Park Engagement Session

Some couples have a connection you can feel the moment you meet them. Karee and Matt are one of those couples. Their energy is easy. Their chemistry is natural. And their love shows up in every glance and every laugh. Photographing their engagement session at Long Hunter State Park made all of that shine even brighter.

Long Hunter is one of those places that feels peaceful the second you step onto the trails. The soft light, the open spaces, and the quiet shoreline created the perfect backdrop for their session. Karee and Matt settled into the evening so naturally. They held hands. They walked. They laughed. Nothing felt forced. Their connection did all the work.

As we moved through the park, I loved getting to know them even better. Sessions like this are one of my favorite parts of the process. They give us time to slow down and talk. They help couples get comfortable in front of the camera. And they let me see the little things — the way they look at each other, the way they move together, the way they make each other feel at ease. Those moments always translate into the most genuine images.

Their engagement session made me even more excited for their wedding day in Sevierville, TN later this year. I can already imagine how beautiful it will be — the emotion, the joy, the way their families will come together to celebrate them. Engagement sessions are such a sweet preview of what’s to come, and theirs was no exception.
