Carly and Josh had such a beautiful day for their wedding! You might recognize these two from their engagement session at the Lincoln Park Zoo a few months ago. On the day of their wedding, I drove up to Carly’s parents home in Park Ridge, IL and was greeted at the door by her dad. Downstairs, the ladies were all getting their hair and makeup done, so I started photographing the details. Among my favorites were her gorgeous Badgley Mishka shoes, luggage tags that read “to a lifetime of adventures together,” and her grandmothers ring that she wore on her right hand. I quickly noticed the long cathedral veil that she was going to wear as well. I have a lot of brides lately that have opted for the cathedral veil and I’m loving it! The ladies wore long pink bridesmaid dresses and held beautiful rose and peony bouquets made by Lauren Andree Designs. The men wore black tuxedos and bow ties. Man, I love a good black tie wedding day!
Their ceremony was held at the beautiful Saint Paul of the Cross church in Park Ridge, Illinois. This was my second time photographing at this amazing catholic church and I love it there. The wedding reception was at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald’s campus in Oak Brook, Illinois and it was filled with lots of forest like options for photos, a large lake, and more. Oh and did I mention that the groom is a huge big patriots fan?? At the reception, the mother-son dance was “interrupted” by guests who were dancing and waving around yellow Patriot towels! There were so many fun things about this day but I think I’ll let the photos speak for themselves 🙂
