I loved this day with Lanie and Chris! It was such a relaxed wedding day and so much fun. After photographing their engagement session at the Museum Campus last year, I knew they were going to be so great to work with on their wedding day. They chose to get ready and have their reception at the Trump Tower Hotel in downtown Chicago. On the 23rd floor, Lanie got dressed in her stunning Essence of Australia gown with the help of her little sister in front of the most stunning downtown city views. On the ground floor behind the Trump was Chris awaiting his bride for the first look. It was so sweet to see him see her for the first time. He grabbed her quickly in the sweetest embrace and surprised her with a single red rose. The wedding party soon followed in their black tuxes, bow ties, and black dresses. The bouquets were so colorful and beautifully designed by Steve’s Flower Market. They were filled with an array of pink, yellow, orange, and green florals. Their ceremony was held at the St. James Chapel and then the cocktail hour and reception were back at the Trump on the 16th floor. The room was decorated with classic black, white, and gold details along with some blue and white floral. Lanie and Chris ended the night by dancing the night away and watching the Navy Pier fireworks from the terrace. Below are my favorites from their amazing day!
