Lane and Nick’s wedding at the University Club of Chicago was all sorts of dreamy. As I arrived that morning, Lane’s gorgeous Monique Lhuiller wedding gown complete with a stunning bow in the back was hanging in the window. I began photographing all the little “getting ready details” that tie the whole day together – from the invitations to the wedding rings and everything in between. The details were ivory, gold, and navy which complemented the University Club of Chicago’s ballroom so well. Lane and Nick chose to create a custom monogram for their wedding which was seen throughout the day on the invitations, table numbers, name cards, and menu cards. The ballroom gave everyone big Harry Potter vibes and I was all about it. Big fan over here! I loved how everyone stepped up big time in the fashion department. Lane is always fashionable and her gown had me swooning all day long. Nick wore a black velvet bow tie, jacket, and shoes by The Black Tux while his guys wore a similar style but with navy jackets and a black lapel accent. The bridesmaids wore two-colored dresses which I don’t often see, so it was really fun to see something different. The dresses had navy tops and white bottom with a black tie around the waist. I really loved the floral bouquets that the ladies carried and the floral arch at the ceremony that was created by Exq Designs. At the reception, the speeches were all so touching and had everyone in tears! Lane and Nick danced the night away along with Maggie Speaks and had a rocking dance floor. Below are some of my favorites 🙂 Congrats Mr and Mrs Phillips!
