Sylvia and Andrew had an intimate morning ceremony and lunch reception in Barrington, Illinois at the Barrington White House. The Barrington White House is a two-story home that was built in 1898. It was accepted on the National Register of Historic Places after a lengthy restoration took place. I loved this quaint venue that offer so much charm. It featured many windows downstairs, a fireplace, grand staircase, and even a bridal suite. Sylvia and Andrew invited 15 of their family members to attend their celebration. Sylvia, who used to own her own invitation designing business, designed her own wedding invitation suite which was SO beautiful. I knew Sylvia back when she was in the wedding industry alongside me and I had always admired her work, so it was fun to see her back in action with her own invitations. I loved the baby blue detailing throughout the wedding day details – as seen in the invitations, bridal bouquet ribbon, wedding cake, and more. The blue perfectly complemented the green and white floral that beautifully decorated the tables and fireplace mantle. Sylvia and Andrew shared a first look with one another on the front porch of the home. It was so sweet to witness! Being a lover of Paris (and also where they spent part of their honeymoon), Sylvia included little Parisian details like a small Eiffel Tower that was used to hold the wedding bands on the fireplace mantle as well as the most delicious macarons alongside the gorgeous cake made by Vanille. I loved this Thursday morning wedding with Sylvia and Andrew and hope I get to do more intimate weddings like this in the future. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Gorden! Love you guys!
