Kesley was finishing her hair as I walked into the hotel room that rainy day. Her smile lit up the room and her friends were just as cheerful! The rain wasn’t going to get them down! Her details were perfectly set aside for me – Kate Spade heels, invitations by one of my favorite designers – Bluebird Paper Company, jewelry, and a Mrs. Box to complete the look! Kesley’s sister helped her get into her wedding dress and shoes. This was such a sweet and emotional moment for these two, as they lost their mother to cancer when she was a little girl. They had a chair at the front of the ceremony that read “We know you’d be here today if heaven weren’t so far away” and it left many of us in tears. They also had a tribute to her at the reception that was incredibly special!
The location Kesley and Kurt chose for their first look was so cool! They love to run and found this location at The Glen while running together one day. It was the perfect spot for these two, and it made for some gorgeous fall photos! Thankfully, the rain held off until the very last moment at which point we pulled out the clear umbrellas for some super cute rainy day pictures! Some of my favorite pictures are done in the rain!
Since it began to rain, their outdoor ceremony was moved inside Pinstripes, but it was just as beautiful! I loved all the floral that was done by Flowers by KH, the wagon that the littlest flower girl was pulled down the aisle in, as well as the hydrangea colored Jenny Yoo bridesmaids dresses that the ladies wore. The reception decor was equally as gorgeous with the floral centerpieces, acrylic table numbers, and the cake that was designed by the groom’s mother. I loved celebrating alongside these two cuties and am so excited for them to be Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham!
