I finally have a minute to put together this personal blog about our recent vacation to Ireland! YAY!! Ireland is the most beautiful country I have yet to see.
After an 13.5 hour trip, we land in Dublin! Between its cool architecture, painted front doors, and unique pub scene, Dublin is filled with life and culture! We were told by a tour guide that the front doors of homes were all painted different colors so that after a long night of drinking, it was easier to distinguish which home was your own.
Next to our hotel was the gorgeous and spacious Saint Stephen’s Green Park.
We all went to the Guinness Storehouse and enjoyed a pint of Guiness (my first one ever!) on the Sky Bar. We even learned how to pour one properly!
The streets of Dublin
The unique statues represented the potato famine that occurred in Ireland. The lower right photo is from the famous Trinity College where we saw The Book of Kells.
We were also told to go visit the Jameson Distillery. It was gorgeous!
The amazing view from the O’Connell Bridge
Next stop… Cork! We just passed through this city mostly but made sure to stop and see Blarney Castle and to kiss the famous Blarney Stone.
Whew that was high!! It made my legs shake like crazy but we made it!! Happy to be on the ground!
St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral. Absolutely stunning!
Our third stop was in Kinsale! I think this was my favorite city of all the cities we went to. It’s scenic views of the ocean were fantastic! We had amazing weather the 3 days we were there and it was a nice change of pace from the busy city streets of Dublin and Cork.
We only drove by this adorable town and awesome scene, but I asked to get out of the taxi for this shot. I couldn’t resist this view in Bantry!!
Another stop we took in Bantry was to look at the gorgeous Bantry House and Garden!
While on the road to our next destination, I stopped off the road again for these shots!
I climbed the hills in flip flops, sliding in sheep poop and mud to get these two photos! haha Talk about dedication!!
We’ve arrived in Killarney!! This is the backside view of our hotel…holy gorgeousness!!!
Out on a fishing adventure with my love!
We did the most “touristy” thing in Ireland… the Ring of Kerry, but boy am I glad! This view was probably the most stunning of the entire trip!
Plus I got to hold a baby lamb!! I was SO excited and he was the cutest thing ever!
Stayed tuned for Part 2 of our Ireland adventure!!
