When your best friend (and Godmother to my Ellie) asks you to take some photos of her and her husband to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their first child… YOU SAY YES! I’m not a morning person, but being a mom has made me get used to waking up super early. I was so excited to wake up early in the morning for this winter sunset maternity session with Caroline and Harrison a few months ago. We did the photos on my parents land. The lake reflected the trees and the light coming from the sunset … and it was so gorgeous. I never get tired of photographing in my parent’s backyard!

They were total troopers in the frigid Tennessee temps and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful morning! I love you guys so much and love baby Hattie too! Can’t wait for our babes to grow up together!
