Home has a way of holding the quiet emotions that come before a baby arrives. It’s where anticipation settles, where routines shift, and where love grows in the smallest, sweetest ways. Photographing this chapter in the place where they’ll bring baby Henry home felt incredibly meaningful.

One of my favorite parts of their session was spending time in Henry’s nursery. Every detail reflected the care and excitement Jade and Logan have poured into preparing for him. Soft colors, tiny outfits, and the crib waiting patiently in the corner — all of it told a story long before he ever arrives. Capturing parents in this space always feels special. There’s a softness in their expressions, a mix of joy and wonder, and a sense that life is about to change in the most beautiful way.

In‑home sessions also offer something you can’t always find elsewhere: comfort. You don’t have to pack a thing or rush out the door. You get to stay in your own space, breathe a little deeper, and let the moments unfold naturally. For maternity sessions, that ease matters. It allows you to be fully present, and it gives me the chance to photograph you in a way that feels honest and true to your story.

I lean heavily into natural window light during these sessions, using it to shape the images while keeping the feel of your home intact. Soft light filtering through curtains, warm tones bouncing off familiar walls — it all creates a timeless backdrop that doesn’t compete with the emotion of the moment. Instead, it enhances it.

Jade and Logan’s session was filled with quiet joy, gentle anticipation, and the kind of love that only grows stronger as you wait for your baby. Documenting this season for them — in the very rooms where their story with Henry will begin — was an honor.
