Hi friends! I hope you all had an amazing fourth of July weekend with family and friends! My sister and her husband came up from Tennessee to join us for the weekend and we had so much fun! From Saturday to Monday morning, we walked nearly 15 miles exploring Chicago. We started the “tour of Chicago” at one of my favorite coffee spots, 3 Greens Market in River North and then walked over to the Kinzie Street Bridge. I love that view!

From there, we walked past the Chicago Theater sign and made a quick trip to see the Bean in Millennium Park.  Next door is the Art Institute of Chicago, which I had never been to, so I was excited to see it!

They have so many exhibits we didn’t even see them all, but we did see several! The Thorne Miniature Rooms exhibit was so neat! It looked so real!

The Photography exhibit was also really interesting to see! My sister and brother in law are hilarious… we had to take a silly picture.2016-07-05_0003

There was a paper weight section too!!! WHAT?! At first, I thought that was pretty silly sounding but as soon as I walked in, I was mesmerized. My favorite one was definitely the one with the bees inside!

I have a huge obsession with staircases and well known sculptures/paintings. Absolutely amazing! Here are some of my favorites from all the exhibits we explored!!

The next day, we went to Lincoln Park to explore the zoo (we’re all huge animal lovers!) and to visit some cute shops along Clark St!
