This past weekend I flew to New York to spend a long weekend for a girls trip! From our brunch at the Plaza to watching the Rockettes, it was an unbelievable weekend full of fun memories together. Check out all of our adventures below!
The Palm Court at the Plaza Hotel
You will definitely need to book a reservation a few weeks in advance for this place. Also be sure to BE ON TIME! They mean business! I also want to mention that it’s worth the hype. The eggs benedict and the steak and eggs were both SO yummy! Can’t beat it!
On a journey to find the restroom (seriously haha) we stumbled upon what looked like a private space for weddings or events. Um…can I photograph a wedding there one day? Absolutely breathtaking! This staircase was just the beginning!
Macy’s on 34th Street – Herald Square
I loved seeing all of the Christmas window displays at Macy’s this year! The inside was even more amazing with it’s decor on the ceiling! This is definitely a must-see when visiting during the holidays!
Aladdin on Broadway
One of the classic things to do while in New York is to go see a Broadway show! I think this makes my 3rd time to NY and each time, I’ve seen a different broadway performance. We decided to see Aladdin and it was so amazing! The man who played Aladdin was absolutely perfect for the role. Jackie (my sister-in-love) and I were particularly fond of the “A Whole New World” scene! Truly magical!
The New Amsterdam Theater was so gorgeous!

Ice Skating at The Rockefeller Center
This was the #1 thing I wanted to do while in New York. And guys, it was WORTH EVERY PENNY. This was such a highlight and I even learned to skate backwards 🙂 It was also worth getting up super early to get this photo of Rockefeller center before it got insane later in the day.
The cathedral was truly spectacular…completely majestic in every way. I loved attending mass there! Even if you’re not Catholic (I’m non-denominational, myself), you’d enjoy it! I highly suggest it!
The Red Ornaments on 6th Street
I honestly didn’t even know this was a thing before I did a bit of research. We were on our way to Rockefeller Center when we saw these red ornaments outside the window of our Uber. I immediately started Googling what they were and we decided to walk over there after ice skating. Loved that the Radio City lights shined in between them! Later I found out that these ornaments are one of the most photographed holiday decor on 6th street!
Rockettes at Radio City Theater
We were so lucky to be able to score some tickets last minute to see the Rockettes live! It was such a treat to watch them perform the Christmas Spectacular. SO AWESOME!
This was such a great visit to New York. I will never forget New York in the Christmas time – it truly is like nothing else I’ve ever seen! But above all, I’ll never forget the memories that I made with some of my favorite women!
