A Surprise Newlywed Session

A few weeks ago, John emailed me about photographing a session for him and his newlywed wife while they were in Chicago celebrating Mary Catherine’s birthday. There was only one catch – don’t tell MC! He wanted to surprise her (SO SWEET)! John had told MC that they were going to go out for a nice dinner that night so she would dress up. After some texts, we decided on the best place to meet, what he should wear, and where all we should go. As they approached the Wrigley building, I was there waiting for them. The surprised look on MC’s face was priceless as she realized what was happening!

I was so excited to welcome these adorable southerners into the big city and to take them around my favorite parts of downtown for their session! We lucked out with such a beautiful day and their outfits were seriously on point. I realized later on that MC is also a photographer and her work is so lovely!
