As you may have noticed, my blog and social media accounts have been a little quieter than normal lately, and that’s because I was preparing for the very first ENP Workshop, which I entitled The Love In The City Workshop! I still can’t believe that this happened… One of my biggest dreams has come true and I cannot thank everyone enough for being so supportive and loving throughout this entire process.  Thank you all for being my cheerleaders and for believing in me! I truly have some of the best friends and supporters in the world.

On February 20th and 21st, I welcomed 6 photographers from different parts of Chicago and Tennessee to my condo here in Chicago.  First, I’d love to introduce you to these beautiful ladies!

The class (from left to right): Liza, Angela, Nicki, Jennifer, Brittany, Lex

As the attendees came in the door on the first day, they were greeted with lots of hugs (naturally!) and the coolest welcome gifts from our amazing sponsors, a fun boxes of goodies from me (did you see what was in them!?), and a special gift that included the most beautiful gold camera necklace from Left Bank Jewelry (I posted a photo on Instagram)!

We started off the morning with the biggest donuts ever from Glazed and Infused brought to us by Maria Harte Photography and freshly brewed coffee.  After getting to know more about one another, we dove right into learning about how to grow their businesses!

I definitely cried when talking about the reason WHY I do wedding photography and after showing some of what I call my “why images.”  I had to quickly move on from there since I could barely get out but just a few words. I just can’t help but get so emotional about my couples, their love stories, and all of the loved ones in their lives!

After making everyone’s brain hurt with information (haha sorry guys!) we took a break for lunch and then made our way over to Chez Event Space where the styled shoot was waiting for us!  This could not have been possible without all of the amazing vendors involved and with the help of Kristina with Vision of Elegance Events.  She was the behind-the-scenes gal behind it all, making sure it went off without a hitch! Thank you Kristina!  After the shoot, we went back to my place for more informational chats, and then had a wine night at my apartment on the 24th floor! The night was absolutely gorgeous. I never get tired of that view and everyone loved getting to hang out with my husband and Charlie for a bit as well! With our bellies full of yummy food and wine, we parted ways and looked forward to what day 2 would bring.

Maria not only picked up donuts and ordered food for everyone on that first day, but also offered to take all sorts of behind the scenes photos for me.  Thank you Maria for all of these funny and awesome shots! I could hug you a million times over!

I have no idea what’s going on here but I’m pretty sure I’m trying to do a bad version of the robot.

Day 2 came early, y’all! We kick started the day with lots of coffee and TONS more information to help grow their businesses.  After lunch, we dove into learning more about flash, off camera flash at a wedding reception, and then set up a typical studio set up for some head shots for their social media accounts and website!  We also went outside to capture more head shots in natural light, which were featured at the beginning of this post! These behind the scenes images were taken by one of the attendees (and my sweet friend!), Nicole Defilippis Photography! Thanks for grabbing these, Nicki!
